Turkcell, the leading communications and technology company in Turkey, has undergone a radical structural change in its website in November 2013 and renewed www.turkcell.com.tr from scratch. It was observed that there was an increase of 5.34% in organic traffic compared to the 20-day traffic data before and after the migration of turkcell.com.tr. In addition to this, thanks to the technical developments in the existing site during the migration to the new site, a 36% increase in traffic was achieved in non-brand organic searches within a year.

The changes made for making turkcell.com.tr, the 25th most visited website in Turkey according to Comscore data, more user friendly by effectively using the advancing technology posed a major test for the site's SEO visibility. These technical changes might have contributed to the SEO, and wrong arrangements might lead to a loss of ranking.


In order to avoid potential negative situations and to create a www.turkcell.com.tr with an increased SEO visibility with the new design, we cooperated very closely with the Turkcell IT team in the entire testing process and the old URLs were matched with the URLs in the new site. The steps to be taken in order to be able to complete the project on time were shared in detail with the Turkcell IT team, and the site was opened at the targeted time as a result of intensive work.
