Data Scientist

Job Description:

As a Data Scientist you will take an active role in all aspects of the project you own – identifying issues, forming hypothesis, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, providing the necessary support through implementation and creative optimization, delivering high-quality data and insights to drive strategy and decision-making for performance and digital intelligence at SEM.

You will lead the process of data management, predictive modelling and reporting to amplify the performance in a multi-diciplinary environment. Projects you own may relate to machine learning based ad budget optimization, predictive online behavior experimentation, conversion optimization, data enrichment, or a variety of other domains supporting SEO, performance and programmatic teams across multiple business verticals.


Monitor online marketing and behavioral data using tools such as: Google Analytics and Google Big Query.

Dive deep into raw data sets to identify user behaviors.

Identify key correlations between behavior and marketing metrics.

Integrate disparate data from multiple sources, and identify statistical trends and behaviors that result from or impact online activities.

Develop actionable marketing recommendations based on: segmentation, correlations, regression and predictive modeling, social media, survey, market share, and web behavioral analysis.

Surface insights on the conversion funnel, customer segmentation, and multi-channel touch points.

Regularly work with Machine Learning, ideally using Python, and develop algorithms for classification, regression, and clustering.

Develop advanced and predictive models such as lead prioritization, churn prediction and assist teams in using these models.

Collaborate with development team to establish data pipelines and data hygiene.


BA/BS in engineering, computer science, statistics or other quantitative discipline.

Experience with database programming languages, especially with SQL.

Experience with statistical analysis and modeling.

Descriptive and predictive modeling.

Manipulating large-scale data sets.

Fluency in the core toolkit of Data Science: R/Python

Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations and communicate to sales and marketing partners.

Solid understanding of web/app/internet technologies.

Structured, analytical, detail oriented, precise and specialized in numbers.

Able to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work towards deadlines.

Eager to learn and adopt new skills, both technical and non-technical, to create & deliver ideal solutions.

Perception of key marketing concepts such as SEM, SEO, Social, Programmatic etc. is a plus.

Presentation skills, including oral, written, and graphical experience with reporting and BI tools such as Data Studio and/or Tableau is a plus.

Experience in a digital analytics environment (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, IBM Digital Analytics) is a plus.

Experience at establishing and administering a Tag Management System (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Dynamic Tag Management, Tealium) is a plus.
